Thank you to all those who participated in the Contest, in helping us to better promote South-South cooperation and the role young people play in stimulating development, and in promoting cooperation and partnerships at various levels, from municipal and national to regional and global. We hope you continue doing great work within your communities, as young people’s openness for change and diversity contributes to better active participation in intercultural exchanges and dialogue.

Deadline

Deadline for online nomination of your development solution videos is 20 November 2017, 5 p.m. New York Time. Late entries will not be accepted.

Deadline for online voting through the Youth4South page is 25 November 2017, 5 p.m. New York time.

All relevant development solutions nominated in the framework of the Youth4South Solution Awareness Contest will be promoted globally through the southsouth.world online solutions portal and other relevant networks.

Who Can Nominate a Video Describing a Development Solution?

Individual young leaders or youth-led organizations from developing countries.

 

 

What to include in the video?

You can be as creative as you wish to tell the story about your development solution as long as its maximum duration of up to 100 seconds

However, the solution showcased in the video must meet the following relevance criteria: 

- Address at least one of the Sustainable Development Goals
- Tackle a specific problem and result in visible improvement
- Represent an already implemented initiative with known results, time required, and budget spent.

Preference in this Contest is given to innovative and cost-efficient solutions.
The videos should be in English and/or with English subtitles

 

  

How to Nominate a Video Describing a Development Solution?

- In order to nominate your Video, please upload your video to Youtube, and fill out the entry form 

- You may wish to read more information on South-South Cooperation before you begin making your video
